SAM Health Day : 29th April 2010
SAM in association with Benenden healthcare Society, Health and Safety Executive NI (HSENI) and the Ulster Cancer Fountation planned a free “Health Day” for all SAM staff to attend on Thursday 29th April 2010. During the day all SAM employee’s had the opportunity to have a “Health Check” with a Benenden Nurse who carried out tests such as Cholesterol, Blood Sugar and Blood pressure, followed by a “Quick Fix Session” with the Ulster Cancer Foundation.
The Health Day was a great success with Grace McClean, HR Manager, describing the day as “extremely well supported by all SAM employees. It was evident from speaking with all those who had checks throughout the day that this type of a health day was well over due and with 32 boxes of strawberries later, a great time was had by all involved.” SAM has now created a variety of posters around “Health and Wellbeing in the workplace” topics and these are displayed in the Canteen for everyone to read at leisure. |
